WHAT AVID IS:

• AVID is a class for students who want to be future ready for high school and college OR career.
• AVID students work together with AVID tutors and teachers to build friendships, support one another in academic classes with organization to help make middle school less stressful. 
• During the year AVID students visit local colleges or universities, field trips include activities to give you new experiences and have fun.
• AVID students have an opportunity to be leaders, better communicators, and builds social skills. 
• AVID students contribute to their community by involving themselves.

An AVID student is:
Confident - Determined - has Goals - a Leader - Motivated - Positive 

• An AVID student works hard to maintain a GPA of 2.5 - 4.0 and has Effort/Citizenship grades of Good or Excellent in all classes..

You will be invited to an orientation if AVID is your 1st / 2nd choice.
